My eyes.....

Friday 9th October 2009 17:38

Every night when watching tv, I am always complaining that my vision is not as sharp as I think it should be. So today was the first opportunity to get my eyes properly tested.....and after all the usual tests, my vision was described as really good, with me being able to read some quite small print! Hey, I was really pleased, as this means that I didnt need to buy any new spectacles....
However, I think I do need to buy a new telly!! ....as it must be the picture that isnt as clear as it could be!!! So no savings...in fact new glasses would have probably been cheaper than a new telly.
The other thing the optician recommended was to actually clean my specs! So after a smack on the wrist....I'm all geared up to be able to see what I'm doing.

The kitchen project is about a third of the way complete...I now have a working oven, dishwasher and washing machine, but no sink or water or hob. So we are still in a terrrible pickle. Tomorrow we are both back at Walkers, so until next week, the progress will now be at a standstill.

More news soon.

A SECRET new label for Spring 2010

Wednesday 7th October 2009 14:23

Well, we were called yesterday by one of our main suppliers to tell us about a new label they were launching, and we were invited to buy it, exclusively in the UK! So after a quick look at the photographs, we have decided to despatch Becky off to Europe to buy it!
We are very excited, as the first images look very enticing, and perfectly suited to Walkers. We will be able to tell you more after Christmas. I cant go with her, as my time is otherwise spoken for at the moment...but hey...she buys all the best things anyway!

We are struck by such amazing warm weather at the moment. For considering the date, people walking past Walkers right now are literally in short sleeves and bare arms....unbelieveable really! But not good when trying to sell Winter clothes!

Back again soon
